Who We Are

Project Life Pregnancy Help is a South African organization dedicated to preventing unsafe baby abandonment, empowering adolescents with essential sexual health education, and informing girls and women in unplanned pregnancies. We are committed to safeguarding the lives of both mothers and babies by offering emotional support, awareness, counselling and education in our community. Project Life is part of a network called Pregnancy Help Network, and one of over sixty pregnancy help organizations in South Africa. Our staff and volunteers have been trained and equipped through the Pregnancy Help Network to do the work that we do.

Guiding Principles & Core Values

What We Strive For

Inform & Empower

Lack of sex education and myths contribute to high HIV and teen pregnancy rates.

Online Counselling for Pregnancy Options

Online counselling offers safe, supportive pregnancy guidance with referrals for additional social work help.

Radio Show

Shine a light on issues like pregnancy, abortion, baby abandonment, sex education, parenting, adoption, and mental health awareness

Reduce unsafe infant relinquishment

Once a baby is placed in a baby saver, and the door is closed, an alert signals for our response team to rescue the child immediately.

Baby Savers

Providing a safe space (baby saver), where mothers can safely surrender their babies, knowing that their child will be cared for and loved.

Supporting Youth with Life Skills and Age-Appropriate Sex Education

Partnering with schools to educate staff and students about our mission and services, as well as appropriate knowledge of the issues.

There comes a point where we need to stop pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and see why they keep falling in.”

150,000

Between April 2022 and March 2023

More than 150,000 girls between 10 and 19 were pregnant. Teenage pregnancy is a crisis in South Africa, and a complicated social issue, but one that can be greatly prevented by teaching adolescents sex education.

Together, we save lives and build brighter futures.

Donate to help end baby abandonment and uplift young people.
